Buda Crawfish Fest – Buda, Texas
Crawfish is a southern soul food staple, and what better way to enjoy it than at Buda’s Annual Crawfish Fest. Taking place on Saturday, February 26th from 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM, tickets are only $20 if you order in advance and $25 the day of the festival. At the festival you’ll enjoy food vendors, live music, corn hole, boutique vendors, and of course crawfish by the pound. You can feel good about your participation too because a portion of the proceeds go to Texas Firewalkers, a nonprofit that helps local families displaced by residential fires.
Old Town Buda Antique Mall – Buda, Texas
While checking out Buda’s nationally recognized historic downtown you’ll want to make a stop at the Old Town Buda Antique Mall. Upon arriving, you’ll find two floors full of unique treasures, with 18 vendors total you’re sure to find something special!
Texas Pie Company – Kyle, Texas
Known as the Pie Capital of Texas, a trip to Kyle would not be complete without a trip to Texas Pie Company. Featured on NPR’s The Splendid Table and in publications such as Southern Living and The Austin American Statesman, this pie company is loved by locals and tourists alike. When visiting, try a Southern Pecan pie, their top seller, or dive into one of their delectable runners up which include Fudge Pecan and Coconut Macaroon.
Shugabees BBQ – Kyle, Texas
Much like crawfish and well-crafted pies, BBQ is a southern staple that you just have to try. Voted “Best BBQ in North Hays County”, Shugabees BBQ slow smokes it’s meats and serves them up with warm southern hospitality, treating everyone as if they were an old friend.
